A coat lasts as long as what is under it. What you're paying for is the part you can't inspect once the paint's on, and where we spend the most time.

We wash every surface down first. Not wiped, washed. Then fill where it needs it, sand back flat, and seal any bare material that would otherwise drink the first coat.

We read the timber before we coat it. Bare weatherboard, a fence gone silver, a deck worn out in the traffic lines: three jobs, three products, and getting it wrong is how a fresh finish flakes off inside a year.

Then the parts nobody photographs. Furniture moved and covered, floors protected, doors wedged so nothing swings into wet paint, tools out of the hallway. And the house back every evening in a state you would not mind visitors seeing.
